The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a succession of rainy periods throughout Northwest and Central India, along with thunderstorms, gusty winds, and hail. The areas are preparing themselves for bad weather. It is anticipated that Central India will continue to have light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorm activity from April 13–15, with today projected to be the peak.

A similar weather pattern is expected in Northwest India from April 13 to 15, with the strongest conditions predicted for April 13 and 14.

Delhi will see a temperature decrease.

According to the weather office, Saturday is expected to have mostly overcast sky, with light rain, dust storms, and thundershowers along with windy conditions in the evening. The nation’s capital was not expected to see a heatwave in April.

The national capital’s maximum temperature is expected to drop dramatically over the next two days from the present 39 degrees Celsius to around 33 degrees Celsius, according to the meteorological department’s most recent forecast, which was released on Friday. Scientist and head of the Regional Weather Forecasting Centre Kuldeep Srivastava said, “The maximum temperature is expected to drop by four to five degrees Celsius in the upcoming two days as the capital will experience showers of rain and be covered with cloudy skies due to the active western disturbance which will hit northwest India on Friday.”

An active western disturbance, starting from Jammu, is expected to arrive in northwest India by late Friday night, according to the meteorological service. Meteorologists predict that its effect will arrive in Delhi late on April 13 and continue until April 14.
