Venkaiah Naidu’s new education policy seeks to raise educational standards

During the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Thiagarajar College on Sunday, Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said that the New Education Policy (NEP) was adopted by the union government with the aim of improving the quality of education in the country.

In his speech, Naidu, the event’s primary guest, praised the college’s accomplishments. “Educating rural youngsters was the primary goal of founding Thiagarajar College, and they have been doing this for centuries. The fact that this institution has research projects in numerous fields is a beneficial thing. “I hope it keeps up the good work in education,” Naidu said.

Youth need to advance in every field. For this reason, in order to provide young people access to high-quality education, the union government launched NEP. In addition to their studies, he added, students should concentrate on extracurricular activities and other abilities that would benefit them in the workplace.

“India is an ancient, traditional country,” Naidu said, noting that our eating habits are evolving in line with those of other countries. Here, people adhere to certain customs and traditions. Changes in eating patterns under such circumstances impact all social groups, including youngsters. Therefore, we need to go back to our old, ancient eating practices, which are essential for maintaining good health and providing energy. Regular yoga and fitness regimens are also necessary for people.

“After the explosion of science and technology, social media and cell phone use are causing conflict within the family unit,” he said.

In his special presentation, Rayala Corporation Chairman and Managing Director Ranjith Prathap commended the college administration for offering educational services to rural kids without asking for anything in return. Participants in the event included department heads, staff members, students, and President Uma Kannan in addition to Principal Pandiyaraja and College Secretary Karumuttu Hari Thiagarajan.
