Vinod Sultanpuri of the Congress is running in Shillai

Vinod Sultanpuri, the Congress candidate running for the Shimla parliamentary seat, conducted his campaigning across the Shillai Assembly district.

Election campaigns were conducted in Jakhna, Sataun, Kamaru, and Kaffota. A plan for the Congress party’s lead in the Lok Sabha elections was formulated at a meeting with the workers in Shillai. Party activists greeted Sultanpuri and Harshwardhan Chauhan at several locations throughout the campaign.

Vinod Sultanpuri expressed his disappointment with the current BJP MP from the Shimla parliamentary constituency, Suresh Kashyap, stating that he had heard complaints everywhere he went about the MP’s lack of progress on development projects in the constituency over the previous five years.

Industry Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan positioned Sultanpuri as the representative of progress and change in this parliamentary election by urging the Shillai voters to support him in his speech. Sultanpuri concurred, pointing to the broad endorsement of his candidacy by the people in the Shimla parliamentary seat.

Sultanpuri said, “People want change,” denouncing the BJP’s ten-year rule for not fulfilling development commitments. He emphasized that the two main issues luring people to the Congress agenda were growing unemployment and inflation. Sultanpuri expressed confidence in a change of leadership at the federal level, projecting that the current BJP administration will be replaced by a Congress-led one.

Sultanpuri said Kashyap’s term was devoid of real development, pointing out that the MP never paid a visit to more than 460 panchayats. He said that residents’ expectations had not been met during Kashyap’s tenure, leaving them disillusioned.

“People are disappointed with the performance of the incumbent BJP MP wherever I go,” Sultanpuri said, presenting himself as a representative of the people prepared to make significant changes.
