Who is the BJP MP Pratap Simha who issued credentials to trespassers to the Lok Sabha? What he stated

Pratap Simha, the Mysuru-based BJP MP, provided Sagar and Manoranjan D with their permits before they leaped from the visitors’ gallery into the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, causing a significant security breach in Parliament. A member of Parliament must attest that they know the person in question personally before granting them such a permit. Since his identity was exposed on the visitors’ pass that the burglars retrieved, Pratap Simha has come under fire. He informed the Speaker of the Lok Sabha that the father of one of the invaders was a resident of his constituency and had applied for a visitor’s permit, even though he made no public comments on his relationship with the two outsiders.

The Speaker was notified by Pratap Simha that he did not possess any more details on the intruders. Manoranjan D, one of them, kept in close contact with Simha’s PA to get a visitor’s permission for himself and his companion Sagar.

Pratap Simha is who?
1. Pratap Simha, a 47-year-old BJP MP, is the Lok Sabha representative for the Mysore-Kodagu seat. He is a well-liked BJP politician in Mysuru who became victorious in the Lok Sabha elections of 2014 and 2019.

2. The journalist-turned-politician was employed by Kannada Prabha prior to making his political debut in the 2014 election.

3. Pratap Simha was appointed to the Press Council of India in 2015.

4. A fervent supporter of Hindutva, Pratap Simha objected to the government’s choice to commemorate Tipu Sultan’s birthday, arguing that Tipu Sultan could only serve as an example for Islamists.

5. Pratap Simha angered animal enthusiasts early this year by claiming that dog lovers would realize the threat posed by stray dogs if their kids were bitten. He added there should be no mercy shown when it comes to removing stray pets. “Animal lovers prevent us from taking any action. When stray dogs attack their kids, they realize something is wrong. The MP said that feeding stray dogs is not a social service and would not be beneficial in the way that it is portrayed.

6. Pratap Simha made a contentious remark on dome-shaped bus stops, threatening to have them demolished because they resembled mosques. “In bus shelters, I have seen buildings like gumbaz, with a large gumbaz at the center and two smaller ones on each side. All it is is a mosque or masjid. These kinds of shelters need to be removed by the engineers. If not, I’ll come to JCB and bring them to their knees,” Pratap Simha said.

According to Pratap Simha’s office, MPs often grant similar requests from constituents.

Hours after the security breach, on Wednesday at 6:15 p.m., Pratap Simha shared a picture of the Vidyavardhaka College political science students that was shot on Monday, most likely to show how MPs handle many demands for admittance.
