Wife of the Himachal Governor visits the cancer hospital at IGMC
Today, Janaki Shukla, the spouse of HP Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, paid a visit to the Indira Gandhi Medical College Cancer Hospital.
She gave out hygiene kits along with fruits and drinks to patients who were receiving chemotherapy while escorted by Red Cross Society members.
Janaki Shukla, the Chairperson of the Hospital Welfare Section of the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross, asked how the patients were doing. In order to guarantee early cancer identification and treatment, there is an urgent need to raise awareness about the disease. The likelihood of a speedy recovery is increased in cases of prompt diagnosis, according to Janaki Shukla. She went on to say that it was critical to thoroughly educate people about cancer prevention.
Janaki Shukla received comprehensive information from Dr. Munish Gupta, the director of the Cancer Hospital, on the operation of the facility and its many departments. Members of the Red Cross Society accompanied her.
