“Bassi bhai mile aur Anubhav acha na ho..” – Prior to RR’s IPL 2024 match against SRH, Yuzvendra Chahal meets a stand-up comedian

Yuzvendra Chahal, a leg spinner with the Rajasthan Royals (RR), recently got up with well-known Indian stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi.

The cricket player posted a few images with Bassi on his official Instagram account on Monday, April 29. Before RR’s IPL 2024 matchup against the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), the two had a meeting at the Trident Hotel in Hyderabad.

Chahal captioned the photo with one of Bassi’s jokes as well. He penned:

“Bassi bhai mile aur Anubhav acha na ho – koi sense hai iss baat ka?”

This season, Yuzvendra Chahal has been one of Rajasthan’s best ball players. The brilliant leg spinner leads his club in wicket-taking in the 2024 Indian Premier League with 13 from nine games at an economy rate of 9.00.

The squad coached by Sanju Samson seems to be the favorite to win this time around. The Royals lead the points table after winning eight of their last nine games.

Among the prominent absences from former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan’s Men in Blue team for the 2024 T20 World Cup was Yuzvendra Chahal.

Even though he believed that India needed two wrist-spinners, he believed that Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi should be chosen by the selectors instead of Chahal. Pathan remarked in an interview with Star Sports:

“It is essential that you have five quality bowlers. What possibilities do you have for getting wickets? In my opinion, it would be preferable to have two wrist-spinners playing when discussing Ravindra Jadeja, who bats at No. 8 and is an all-around player. In my starting XI, I would want to have two legitimate wrist-spinners, Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav. As you can see from Bishnoi’s figures, he was a decent player while he was on the field.

Providing an explanation for Chahal’s removal from his ideal Team India lineup for the grand finale, the former cricket player turned pundit continued:

“Yes, we’re talking about Chahal right now because of the IPL performances but don’t forget the fielding part of it as well.”
The next time we see Yuzvendra Chahal in action is on Thursday, May 2, when RR visits Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium to play SRH.
