Carlos Alcaraz & Rafael Nadal Will Perform at a Netflix Exhibition in Vegas

Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz will square off in an exhibition match in Las Vegas on March 3, as announced by Netflix on Monday. At the Michelob Ultra Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort, Nadal, the 22-time Grand Slam champion, will take on Alcaraz, a Spanish national and current world number two. After missing almost a year due to injuries, Rafael Nadal will be making his court comeback with this match. “I’m very excited for my first visit to Las Vegas, one of the most iconic and entertaining cities in the world,” Nadal said.

“Playing alongside Carlos Alcaraz, a fellow countryman, also excites me much. “I have no doubt that we will have an amazing night of tennis,” the 37-year-old said.

On a national and international level, Alcaraz, the winner of Wimbledon this year and a former US Open champion, is seen as Rafael Nadal’s likely successor.

There have only been three encounters between the two.

Before a match called “The Netflix Slam,” Alcaraz said, “I’m honored and so happy to be sharing the court with Rafa in Las Vegas.”

“It goes without saying that he is an all-time great; his accomplishments and records speak for themselves. I’m looking forward to our match on March 3 since Rafa is one of the nicest people on Tour,” the 20-year-old said.

The massive US streaming service Netflix claimed that more players and matches will be revealed for the event at a later time.
