FC Rajeshwar wins the football match
At the Sector 46 Sports Complex, Rajeshwar Football Club (FC) became victorious in the Chandigarh Football U-20 League. The team won the league with a total of 15 points, while St. Stephen’s Football Club, Sector 45, came in second with 13 points. With nine points, Velocity Football Club came in third place.
The Sector 45 squad finished in second place with four wins, one loss, and one tie, while the Rajeshwar boys won five and lost one to lead the points table.
On the last day, the St. Stephen’s boys defeated Velocity Club 4-0. After Dhanush converted a free kick in the tenth minute, the team took the lead. Elvis scored the third goal just before the sides went into the lemon-break time, and Harshit increased the advantage in the 35th minute.
The Sector 45 squad added another goal in the second half to guarantee the team’s easy victory. In the sixty-third minute, Sang Dhup scored the final goal. The Punjab Engineering College Football Club defeated Golden Football Club 3-0 in a different game. The players were given awards by IP Nagi, a former director of SAI (Patiala), and other authorities.
