Finalized Asia Cup 2023 Schedule: Where Will India vs. Pakistan Match Take Place?

The Asia Cup 2023 will be contested in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and BCCI’s confirmation that the tournament would be played under the hybrid format clears the way for it to happen.

A meeting between BCCI secretary Jay Shah and Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Zaka Ashraf resulted in the tournament’s schedule being finalized. According to the plan, four matches would be played in Pakistan and the rest nine in Sri Lanka.

One of Pakistan’s home games will be against Nepal, while the other three matches will be between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

India will play all of their games, including those against Pakistan, in Sri Lanka.

The Asia Cup schedule was finalized and is proceeding as planned when our secretary met with PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf. According to IPL chairman Arun Dhumal, there would be four league stage games in Pakistan, followed by nine games in Sri Lanka, which will include both the India against Pakistan game and, if necessary, a third game if both teams advance to the final.

According to the report, India and Pakistan may clash at Dambulla.

Shah, however, denied rumors that he would be going to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.

Following India’s unwillingness to cross the border for the Asia Cup, the Pakistani sports minister recently made remarks about their men’s team ODI World Cup matches to be conducted at a neutral location.

The World Cup will be held in India starting on October 5, with England vs New Zealand in Ahmedabad.

If India chooses not to send its team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, I want our World Cup games to be played in neutral sites. Ahsan Mazari, the Pakistani Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (Sports), had remarked, “If they have security issues in Pakistan according to the Indian board, then we can also question the security situation in India.
