Lakshya Sen of India won the Canada Open in 2023

India’s Lakshya Sen, a Commonwealth Games gold medalist, defeated China’s Li Shi Feng (World No. 10) in straight games to win the men’s singles championship at the Canada Open 2023. The scores were 21-18, 22-20.

Lakshya has won two BWF World Tour 500 championships; his first was the India Open in January 2022.

The Indian, who is now ranked 19 in the world, won the championship after defeating WR-10 China’s Li Shi Feng in the summit match and WR-4 Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the Round of 32, Semifinal, and Final rounds.
