In Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav said the Congress-SP partnership is moving forward

Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of Samajwadi Paty, made a suggestion on Wednesday that his party’s partnership with the Congress is proceeding as planned and that a formal announcement is imminent. According to the sources, the Congress could win 16–18 seats, and the formal announcement might be made this evening at 5 p.m. in Lucknow.

“It all works out in the end. Indeed, an alliance is planned. There’s no disagreement. Speaking on seat-sharing negotiations with the establishment party for the next Lok Sabha elections, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh said that “everything will be out and clear soon.”

The sources claim that Congress is calling for certain modifications to the plan that SP submitted. Of the seventeen seats that Yadav proposed, Congress wants adjustments in two or three of them.

According to the sources, Yadav and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi had a conversation that broke the impasse on seat-sharing.

They went on to say that Mathura would fall to the SP and that Congress may win Amroha, Bijnor, Saharanpur, and Jhansi.

won’t join Nyay Yatra until the seat-sharing agreement is completed: Yadav Akhilesh

After the seat-sharing agreement is finalized, Yadav said that he will participate in the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh, which is headed by Rahul Gandhi. The Gandhi-led yatra passed through Amethi and Raebareli before arriving in Unnao on Wednesday.

The head of the Congress’s branch in Uttar Pradesh, Ajay Rai, had previously said that the party ought to get the twenty or so seats it had won in the national elections in 2009. The Congress and the Samajwadi Party are allies in the opposition I.N.D.I.A. coalition. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Uttar Pradesh, the Congress only managed to win the Raebareli seat. With eighty, the state sends the most Members of Parliament to Parliament.
