Noida: Owing to the cold, the school’s schedule was altered from January 18

Due to the frigid weather, all schools in Noida and Greater Noida will begin classes at 10 am on January 18 for students in nursery through eighth grade, authorities said on Wednesday. According to Gautam Buddh Nagar Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar, this time would stay in place till additional directives from the district government are given.

In the order, Panwar said, “In accordance with the instructions given by the District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, classes in all schools from nursery to 8 will be conducted from 10 am from January 18 until further orders,” because of the heavy fog and bitter cold. The officer demanded that the directive be strictly followed.

Due to the very cold weather in the area, classes for students in nursery through eighth grade were canceled until January 16. While sessions for pupils in grades 9 through 12 continued, District Inspector of Schools Dharmveer Singh issued a separate order last week changing the school’s hours to 10 am to 3 pm.

According to the decree, this schedule for Classes 9 through 12 will last until January 20. In the winter, government schools in Noida typically operate from 9 am to 3 pm.
