Roadways Bus in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, strikes a tractor, killing six laborers

An Uttar Pradesh roads bus struck a tractor here on Monday, killing six laborers, according to authorities. Around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, they added, the accident happened in the vicinity of the Samadhganj market in the Sikrara police station area.

Six laborers were killed after an Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus carrying them struck a tractor transporting the workers when it was traveling from Prayagraj to Deoria, according to Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Shailendra Singh. Neeraj Saroj (28), Rajesh Saroj (45), Sangram Vishwakarma (25), C Mushar (20), Govind Bind (30), and Atul Saroj (30)—all inhabitants of Alishahpur village here—were the ones who perished in the accident, he added.

The corpses have been submitted for autopsy investigation. A thorough investigation is being conducted, and the tractor and bus have been seized.
