The amount raised for each beneficiary of the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana in Uttar Pradesh is Rs. 10,000

According to a government release, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared on Wednesday that the sum paid to recipients of the “Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana” will rise from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000. According to him, the initiative now distributes Rs 15,000 to recipients over the course of six rounds.

According to the official statement made here, he informed a group of beneficiaries that the value of the Kanya Sumangala plan will rise from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 starting with the fiscal year 2024–2025.

“This will make it easier for the daughters of the state to fulfill their dreams and become self-reliant along with being educated,” he added. According to the chief minister, this program is now helping 16.24 lakh girls in the state.

“Starting next year, a sum of Rs 5,000 will be deposited to a daughter’s parents’ account as soon as she is born. “Rs 2,000 will be transferred to her account when she turns one; Rs 3,000 when she starts first grade; Rs 3,000 when she starts sixth grade; Rs 5,000 when she starts ninth grade; and Rs 7,000 if she enrolls in a graduate, diploma, or certificate program,” he added.

Some program participants tied ‘rakhi’ on the chief minister and placed the customary ’tilak’ on his forehead. He gave them presents and promised to keep watching over them in exchange. The chief minister transferred Rs 5.82 crore to the accounts of 29,523 recipients during the event. The press announcement claimed that he also gave checks to 10 beneficiaries’ daughters and their parents.
