CNG Prices In Delhi Drop: IGL Lowers CNG Costs In The Nation’s Capital; View New Rates

Following Mumbai, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has lowered the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Delhi by Rs 2.5 per kilogram. The National Capital Region (NCR) and a few Haryanan cities will also see the implementation of the new rates. Delhi’s CNG will now cost Rs 74.09 per kilogram after a price reduction. In Delhi, CNG used to cost Rs 76.59.

“The retail consumer price of CNG is being reduced by Rs 2.50 per kg across all geographical areas of IGL starting at 6 am on Thursday, March 7, 2024,” IGL said in the news that was also posted on X (previously Twitter). According to IGL, starting at 6 a.m. tomorrow, the new price of CNG in Delhi will be Rs 74.09 per kg, while in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad GA, it will be Rs 78.70 per kg.

The new price of CNG in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad is Rs 78.70 per kilogram. Following a price decrease, the new cost of CNG in Gurugram would be Rs 80.12 per kilogram. In the meanwhile, CNG will cost Rs 78.70 per kilogram in Rewari and Rs 80.43 per kilogram in Karnal.

The revised rates are already in effect as of March 7, 2024.

Prior to this, Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL) announced a reduction in CNG rates in and around Mumbai of Rs 2.5 per kilogram. After a decrease, the current cost of CNG in Mumbai is Rs 73.50 per kilogram. According to the corporation on Tuesday, the new pricing are already in force as of March 5, 2024, or the morning of March 6, 2024.

“MGL is happy to announce a reduction in the price of CNG by Rs 2.5 per kg in and around Mumbai, owing to a decrease in the cost of gas input.” Effective from midnight on March 5, 2024, or early on March 6, 2024, the increased MRP of CNG would be Rs 73.50 per kilogram, according to the statement.
