WhatsApp is developing these new capabilities to enhance the quality of your conversations

According to reports, Meta-owned WhatsApp is developing several new features to enhance users’ conversation experiences on the service.

According to WABetaInfo, some of the things WhatsApp is currently working on include account limitations, secret community group conversations, controlling chat storage filters, and reactions from media watchers.

The “reactions from media viewer” feature makes it easier for users to respond to media material quickly and conveniently by allowing them to do so without ever leaving the media viewer interface. Some beta testers currently have access to this functionality.

Users may designate community group chats as hidden by placing a certain symbol next to the group name, utilizing the “hidden community group chats” functionality, which is now under development.

As to the report, an additional feature called “manage chat storage filters” would enable users to conveniently manage the device storage by filtering the list of their conversations inside the designated part. Some beta testers can also use this function, and over the next several days, more people will be able to utilize it.

According to the article, the “account restriction” function would prevent user accounts from sending messages. This means that when an account is blocked from WhatsApp, users won’t be able to start new conversations for a certain period of time as a temporary punishment for particular offenses.

The report states that this functionality is being worked on and will be included in a later app release.
