’75 Creative Minds Of Tomorrow’ Film Challenge Unveiled at IFFI

Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, introduced the “75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow” film challenge in Goa on Tuesday as a component of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

At IFFI 54, 75 young creative talents from around India will take on the challenge of creating a short film in under 48 hours.

At the Film Bazaar, they will get the opportunity to see the workings of the film industry and network with other members of the international film fraternity who are attending IFFI.

Speaking at the event, the minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating jobs and growing the creative and creator economy in this region.

“I am happy to see that youths from many areas, where there were no film producers, are also participating in this competition,” he said.

He said that by taking part in this competition, young people would get insight from film makers and the film industry.

The program gives young students the chance to flourish in the film industry and develop into tomorrow’s top directors and performers.

These 75 young filmmakers and artists were chosen from a pool of more than 600 applicants. They come from a variety of backgrounds and locations, including Bishnupur (Manipur), Jagatsinghpur (Odisha), and Sardarpur (Madhya Pradesh), among others.

19 distinct Indian States and Union Territories—Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal—are represented among the participants. The grand jury and selection jury panels, which are made up of notable individuals, have chosen them.
