A Choreographer’s Tribute to Birju Maharaj, “Mere Sanam Ke Khwaab”

With the music video for “Mere Sanam Ke Khwaab,” choreographer Nishant Bhat, who is about to begin a new creative adventure, expressed his long-standing ambition to study under the great Kathak teacher Late Birju Maharaj and claimed the song is an homage to the maestro.

Nishant has won over fans’ hearts with his spectacular performances on a number of the best dance reality series.

A visual and aural delight, “Mere Sanam Ke Khwaab” will include the sexy Indian classical dance skills of Nishant and Heli Daruwala and the stunning vocals of Kavita Seth and Kanishk Seth, who deftly combine traditional and modern aesthetics.

Speaking about the same, he stated: “With all of our hearts, we sought to recreate the spirit of Indian classical dance in ‘Mere Sanam Ke Khwaab’. This song is a dedication to Late Birju Maharaj since it was always my goal to study Kathak under him. I’ve been modeling my dancing after him since he is an icon to all dancers.

On July 14, a T-Series production will be released.
