With his next film, Singham Again, set in the police world, Rohit Shetty is ready to delight the public. Arjun Kapoor has been cast by the director to portray the antagonist in the movie against Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar. The actor spoke candidly about his role as the adversary recently.

Arjun Kapoor recently discussed taking on a villainous character in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again with ANI, expressing his excitement for the reaction the public would have to his on-screen persona. Arjun said, “I’m thrilled that a legendary director like Rohit Shetty thought I could play the antagonist in his highly anticipated Singham Again, which includes a huge cast of celebrities! Knowing that I gave it all I had, I’m forward to see what reactions I get when the movie comes out.”

“So when I wanted to explore acting, all I wanted to do was act in front of the camera,” he said. I never became obsessed with the role that I was cast in. I wanted to experience the same excitement and intensity that I had seen performers exhibit when they took the shot. I wanted to train really hard to perform well and I wanted to experience the excitement of being in front of the camera.”

The previous several movies starring Arjun Kapoor did not do well at the box office. His most recent appearance was with Bhumi Pednekar in The Lady Killer. The movie was a complete disaster at the box office, earning a pitiful ₹38,000 on its opening day after just 293 tickets were sold nationwide.

Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, is slated to open in theaters on August 15 and stars Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor Khan in supporting parts. The movie is scheduled to compete alongside Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun.
