Before Project K makes its premiere at San Diego Comic-Con, Deepika Padukone waves to the media as she boards a flight from Mumbai

Days before the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) premiere of her next film Project K, actor Deepika Padukone left Mumbai on a flight on Tuesday morning. A paparazzo account uploaded a video of the actor at the airport on Instagram.

In the video, Deepika could be seen exiting her vehicle and making her way to the terminal gate. She wore a purple T-shirt with a corduroy jacket and matching trousers. She furthermore sported boots, dark sunglasses, and a black purse.

Deepika grinned at the airport photographers as she made her way to the gate. She briefly posed for the camera before entering the terminal, grinned, and then proceeded inside. Her trip takes place only one week before Project K makes history by being the first Indian movie to premiere at the SDCC.

The Project K team announced a few days ago that Deepika, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Nag Ashwin will give attendees of the San Diego Comic-Con a unique look into the universe of their sci-fi film Project K. Vyjayanthi Movies will give fans a sneak peek at the movie as part of an opening night party on 19 July to kick off the SDCC festivities.

A panel discussion titled This is Project K: First Glimpse of India’s Mytho-Sci-fi Epic will be held on July 20 by the production crew. On the first day of SDCC, the production team will reveal the film’s title, trailer, and release date. From July 20 to July 23, the Comic-Con is set to take place.

In the multilingual sci-fi movie directed by Nag Ashwin, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani are also present. Amitabh Bachchan has expressed his joy at participating in the movie. “I am honoured and have had the great privilege of being a part of this great enterprise in Telugu Cinema, Project K, and to have had the huge honour of being in the same frame of the Idol, Prabhas,” he said on Twitter.

“Thank you all. And thank you Nagi Sir, for thinking of me,” he had said. Prabhas’s humility, respect, and care for me have been really heartwarming and emotional.May your tireless efforts open up new vistas for Project K participants, not just for you—love and prayers.
