Fans hurl drinks at Cardi B as she chucks the mic off the stage

Since she tossed a microphone on stage at the crowd after some of them hurled drinks at her, Cardi B, who is no stranger to controversy, has found herself in yet another one. This occurred during a brief stay in Las Vegas’ Drai’s Beach Club.

In a popular video posted to Pop Base Twitter on Saturday, the ‘WAP’ hitmaker was seen throwing the microphone onstage after being sprayed by a drink thrown by a fan, according to the Daily Mail.

The rapper, who recently dropped the song “Jealousy” with her husband Offset, opted to use her microphone for something other than singing this past weekend, so it wasn’t the first time either. Cardi complained that the DJ was abruptly ending her songs the night before when she was playing at Drai’s Beach Club.

 

In a video that a netizen posted online, the performer could be heard yelling out her name before spinning around and tossing the microphone at the DJ like it was a football before leaving the stage.

 

The viral video shows Cardi, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, performing her 2018 hit song “Bodak Yellow” on stage in the daylight while wearing a bustier orange dress. As she raises the microphone to her face for another verse, a spray of liquid is suddenly seen hitting her in the face from a drink cup in the audience.

 

Cardi briefly displays amazement before erupting in rage and swinging into action, throwing the microphone towards an audience member—presumably the drink-thrower.

 

Her singing and the song’s music are still playing in the background. Then, as stage security seems to control the situation in the audience, Cardi B is seen doing her hair.

 

According to reports, Las Vegas residents waited two hours in stifling heat for the performer to arrive. According to reports, the hip-hop artist even requested water from the crowd as she bemoaned the extreme heat in Sin City.

 

This won’t be the first time this has occurred; in 2022, when performing in the US, fans threw paper balls at her, which infuriated her and caused her to scream offensive words before leaving the stage. Even though many people complained about demanding their money returned, this merely made the spectators more entertained rather than upset.
