Meghan Markle talks candidly about experiencing cyberbullying while pregnant

Recently, Meghan Markle spoke out about the terrible experience she had with cyberbullying while she was pregnant with Archie and Lilibet. Meghan said during her speech at the SXSW Conference that she experienced a great deal of hatred and abuse online, particularly while she was pregnant with Prince Harry’s children.
The 42-year-old Meghan spoke at the occasion about most of the cruel remarks and abuse she had received throughout her pregnancy.

“For my own health, I stay away from it today, but most of the hatred and harassment I was subjected to on social media and online occurred during my pregnancy with Archie and Lili. You just consider it and try to figure out why people could be so hostile. It’s harsh, not catty. And why would you do that, given that being pregnant is undoubtedly a delicate and precious timeā€”as all mothers know?” said Markle.
Meghan took part in a conversation at the Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives conference in Texas on internet trolling. Meghan, along with other well-known people, including actress Brooke Shields and journalist Katie Couric, urged people to speak out and stand up for what is right.
Meghan’s open admission illuminates the terrible reality of cyberbullying, which mostly targets expecting moms. Her message emphasizes the value of compassion and kindness and calls on people to speak out against the the abuse they see online.
