On Monday, Dunki earns Rs 10 lakhs, indicating that its run is almost over

Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkummar Hirani, seems to be nearing the end of its box office run. When “Dunki” opened on December 21, it was up against fierce competition from Prashanth Neel and Prabhas’s Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire, which took in nearly Rs 400 crore.

Expectations were high for Dunki since it was the first joint venture between Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkummar Hirani after SRK’s two consecutive hit movies, Jawan and Pathaan. With Shah Rukh’s star power, the film’s creators won’t suffer any form of loss despite having been created on an allegedly Rs 85 crore budget.
Dunki got off to a strong start, earning Rs 160 crore in its first week of release. But it saw a 71% decrease in revenue in the second week, earning only Rs 45 crore, and another collapse in the third week, earning just Rs 15 crore. The movie made roughly Rs 80 lakhs in revenue throughout the course of the previous weekend, and on Monday it brought in an additional Rs 10 lakhs, bringing its total earnings to Rs 226.57 crore. Dunki is nearing the conclusion of its theatrical run as Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter by Siddharth Anand is about to debut.
