The movie, which stars Mita Vasisht, is set in Nepal and India

The Shameless, an actress recognized for roles in movies like as Droh Kaal, Dil Se…, Chhorii, and others, has been chosen to show at the Cannes Film event. Actress Mita Vasisht will be attending the event. The actress recently announced the news with her Instagram followers by uploading the movie poster along with the official Cannes Film Festival tag.

In the caption, Mita wrote: “2024! We’re in Cannes! I hadn’t realized that I/we would be traveling to Cannes the next year while we were filming The Shameless in March of last year in Nepal. It’s still not quite sinking in. The movie tells the tale of Indian sex worker Rani.

Rani travels to a secluded shrine on a pilgrimage, where she faces her past—which includes a romantic relationship with a guy serving a murder sentence in Bengaluru. The film, which was chosen for the festival’s Un Certain Regard section, was directed by Konstantin Bojanov of Bulgaria.

The film is being produced by AKKA Films, Urban Factory, Klas Film, and House on Fire Productions. Supporters from Nepal, India, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria, and Taiwan have contributed to its creation.
