When Rachel Zegler was a child, she saw “Hunger Games” in theaters

In the next film “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,” actress Rachel Zegler plays District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird. She remembers her first visit to the Capitol of Panem, the franchise’s capital, which was more than ten years ago.

Zegler recalled her moviegoing experience by saying, “I went with my sister and my mom to the theatre to see it,” according to People magazine. She was ready, but she was unable to say the same for a different audience member. The lady sitting next to my sister said, “When the mutts came out, she started screaming, ‘What’s gonna happen next?'” She had never read the novels or seen the movie before.

The majority of “Hunger Game” viewers are aware that mutts, often referred to as muttations, are vicious monsters that The Capitol manufactured to spice up the suspense for spectators as the tributes attempt to survive the games. Zegler said, “And it is ingrained in my memory forever,” along with a personal request. “I hope that patrons of our theaters follow suit.”

People reports that she was in a state of shock when she saw the movie at Zoo Palast in Berlin, ostensibly paying tribute to Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen. Zegler entered the carpet wearing a strapless black Alexander McQueen floor-length dress with what looked to be hot red flames built into the bottom, evoking memories of Selena Gomez’s gown that catches fire in the books and movies, earning her the moniker “The Girl on Fire.”

The next movie, which is a prequel to the popular 2012 film, is set decades before Coriolanus Snow assumed power as President of Panem and 64 years before Katniss Everdeen volunteered to serve as a tribute.
