The 4 Fruit Consumption Mistakes You Must Avoid

Fruits are a crucial component of a balanced diet and are good for our general health and wellbeing. As they are rich in critical nutrients like vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein, potassium, magnesium, and many others that are needed for the functioning and development of the body, they are regarded as a perfect supplement to a normal diet.

Fruits are regarded as a fantastic fast-food snack alternative. There are several methods to include fruits in our daily diet, from eating them fresh to drinking fruit juices. However, there are certain methods that one should eat fruits in order to benefit fully from the nutrients they contain. The following errors should be avoided while eating fruits. The Satvic Movement, run by Nuritionist Harshvardhan and Subah, highlighted seven critical errors that we all do while eating fruits but should avoid in an Instagram post.

1. Constant Fruit Juicing

While preparing fruit juices on sometimes is a possibility, doing so on a daily basis might be harmful to our general health. Fruits lose a substantial amount of their nutritious content when we extract juice from them. Fruits that are regularly juiced retain all of their natural sugars in the glass of juice while separating the fiber and roughage. When we drink too much fruit juice at once, our pancreas must immediately digest all of the sugar. Therefore, try to eat fruit whole and with the fiber instead of drinking fruit juice. If you must produce fruit juice, add 50% more water before consuming.

2. Consuming unripe fruit

Eating unripe fruits is typically unhealthy since it may lead to digestive issues including heartburn, acid reflux, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, and vomiting. Unripe fruits have a poor flavor and are difficult to digest. Additionally, they are not yet grown enough to provide your body with the essential vitamins and minerals.

3. After cutting fruits, leaving them out

Long periods of time spent storing chopped fruits might be bad for our health. Fruits start to oxidize as soon as they are sliced. Fruits lose essential elements as a result, which diminishes their nutritional value. When the fruits’ interior meat is exposed to the air, a considerable amount of their nutritious value may be lost.

4. Consuming too-cold fruit

Fruits should never be eaten cold; instead, they should always be eaten at room temperature. This is due to the fact that eating cold fruits may result in a number of issues with your digestive system, including cramping and bloating. As a result, it is always preferable to eat fruits at room temperature.
