Imran Khan is in trouble as the NAB summons him in the Toshakhana case on Wednesday

Imran Khan has been called in for questioning by Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over the Toshakhana case inquiry.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman is required to appear before the NAB on Wednesday, June 21, at 11 a.m., according to the most recent summons, sources said.

Imran must appear before the investigation team with all relevant records, according to the notification the NAB sent to him.

Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and his close associates are accused by the Pakistani government of fabricating and submitting false invoices for Toshakhana presents. The complaint was filed earlier this month.

The Toshakhana is a division under the administrative jurisdiction of Pakistan’s Cabinet Division that houses priceless presents that other nations and international dignitaries offer to heads of state, bureaucrats, and officials.

The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and his colleagues presented counterfeit receipts for the Toshakhana presents, including the expensive Graff timepiece given to the former premier by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Khan finally admitted in September of last year that he had sold at least four gifts he had received while in office after months of avoiding the subject.

After the former premier of Pakistan was disqualified by the Election Commission of Pakistan for making “false statements and incorrect declarations,” the Toshakhana controversy about the sale of official goods obtained by the cricketer-turned-politician became a significant topic in national politics.

Bushra is a nominee in two instances, Toshakhana (gifts) and the Al-Qadir Trust case, whereas Khan is facing more than 100 lawsuits.
