In a confrontation in Pakistan, 2 troops and 2 militants were killed

The military said that at least two terrorists were killed in an engagement with security forces in Pakistan’s Bannu district in the northwesterly state of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Pakistan Army’s media branch, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said on Saturday that the shooting incident occurred during a search operation in the Janikhel region of the district.

During a fierce firefight, security forces soldiers killed two terrorists and removed weapons and ammo from the scene. According to the Xinhua news agency, two Pakistani Army personnel also perished.

The country’s military forces are committed to eradicating terrorism, the ISPR underlined.
