Russia claims that the West is actively at war with it in Ukraine

According to Russia, the West and it are at war in Ukraine.

In his speech to the UN, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Western nations had practically engaged in direct combat with Moscow by supporting Ukraine.

“You can call it anything you want, but they’re battling with us — plain and simple. Although we refer to it as a hybrid war, nothing has changed, Lavrov said at the UN.

In order to avoid a direct conflict with Russia, a fellow nuclear power, US President Joe Biden has frequently said that he would not commit American soldiers. Additionally, his government has taken a stand against Ukrainian incursions into Russian territory.

However, Lavrov cited the hundreds of millions of dollars in Western military hardware that Kyiv has received since the Russian strike last year, as well as the deployment of Western military experts and backing from the US and the UK.

Westerners are “de facto fighting against us, using the hands and bodies of Ukrainians,” according to Lavrov.

According to the article, he said that “I think everybody here who pays at least some attention to the situation in Ukraine knows very well that Americans, Britons, and others are fighting, first and foremost, through providing more and more weapons.”

The report said that he also brought up the existence of Western mercenaries in Ukraine.

The US and numerous other Western nations have prevented citizens from visiting Ukraine, therefore these fighters have gone there on their own, he said.

Lavrov was in attendance at the UNGA, when attention was focused on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy who had flown to New York to request more backing against the invasion.

Zelenskyy urged that Russia’s veto be removed during his speech at a special Security Council meeting on Wednesday. After the president of Ukraine had finished speaking, Lavrov arrived.

“I saw it on television. He had a really gloomy aura,” Lavrov observed.

But I need to take care of my own business. Why waste time when we all knew what he was going to say? Added he.

Zelenskyy has advocated a ten-point plan for resolving the conflict, which calls for a full Russian departure from Ukrainian territory, including Crimea, which Moscow annexed in 2014, and the establishment of a special court to try war criminals.

Zelensky’s initiative was mocked by Lavrov, who also criticized the US and the EU for supporting it.
