Six people are slain as Russian drones and missiles attack Kharkiv

In Kharkiv, the country’s second-largest city, Russian troops launched a drone and missile strike overnight that resulted in at least six fatalities and eleven injuries, according to local authorities.

Oleh Syniehubov, the governor of the Kharkiv area, said that missile attacks on the city caused damage to automobiles, homes, petrol stations, kindergartens, cafes, and shops.

According to the air force commander, Russia launched six missiles and 32 Shahed drones manufactured in Iran against Ukraine throughout the course of the night. In a statement, Lt. Gen. Mykola Oleshchuk said that 28 drones and three cruise missiles were shot down by Ukrainian air defense troops. He said, “Russian killers are still terrorizing Ukrainians and attacking peaceful cities like Kharkiv.”

Although the Russian military has not responded on the attacks, it has said that Ukraine launched vampire rockets toward Russia early on Saturday. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that all ten of them were shot down by air defense systems over the Belgorod border area of Russia.

Russian soldiers were advancing in Ukraine, and Oleksandr Syrskyi, the country’s military leader, said it was “difficult” to fight back.

According to Syrksyi, things are especially difficult in the Bakhmut district of the partly seized eastern Donetsk region. He added that assault units backed by armored vehicles and foot assaults were part of the day-and-night offensive operations carried out by Russian soldiers.
