The MP government gives Rs 196.6 billion to 78,641 students to purchase laptops

For the purpose of acquiring laptops, the Madhya Pradesh government on Thursday deposited a total of Rs 196.6 crore to the bank accounts of 78,641 students who received a score of at least 75% on the state board’s Class 12 test.

At a local function, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan pressed a button to start the process of depositing Rs 25,000 to each student’s account.

Beginning the next academic year, students from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will also be eligible to use the “gift” to purchase computers.

Chouhan claimed he loves kids and won’t allow their fantasies come true in front of the pupils. “Our government is making all-out efforts for students to scale newer heights and in securing their future,” he said.

“Starting the next year, we will offer scooters to all outstanding students. The CBSE kids would also be covered under the laptop program, he added.

The CM said that he would make sure that no kid drops out of school because of financial difficulties and added that the state’s educational infrastructure was being improved.

In the next months, Madhya Pradesh, a state dominated by the BJP, is anticipated to hold assembly elections.
