Additionally, there is one more thing that you may add to your meal on Mondays in this year’s Sawan to make your fasting more enticing and nutritious. It is the scrumptious halwa of dried fruits.

This delicious sweet dish is nutrient-dense and ideal for your fasting day. Dried fruits are known to be the healthiest, and halwa produced from them ensures a healthy day. Dates chopped – 1 cup

Anjeer chopped – 1 cup

Cashews chopped – 1/4 cup

Almonds chopped – 1/4 cup

Walnuts chopped – 1/4 cup

Pistachios chopped – 1/4 cup

Milk – 1 tbsp

Desi Ghee – 2 tbsp

Process for producing halwa

The dates must be well cleaned, the kernels removed, and then chopped into a thin paste to make the delightful and nutrient-rich dry fruit halwa. After that, finely cut a few anjeer (dried figs). Now cut the cashews, pistachios, walnuts, and almonds coarsely. Except for dates and figs, add all of the dry fruits to the mixer jar and ground them. Keep in mind that they should not get powdered but rather should stay gritty.

Then, pour the mixture into a basin. Now add milk and ghee to the blender container and add dates and figs. Blend until a homogeneous paste forms. Place a bowl with this paste inside.

Put a pan on the stove and turn the flame to medium. Add fig-date paste next, followed by dry fruit powder, and stir-fry the mixture for 4–5 minutes. The paste will finish cooking during this period and start to smell moist. After that, turn off the burner and let the pudding to cool.

Your delicious and nutritious dry fruit halwa is now ready. After cutting it into barfi shapes, you may serve it after letting it set in the refrigerator.
