Meenakshi said that she received 679 out of 900 in her first year, 1,350 out of 1,800 in her second year, and 2,029 out of 2,700 in her third year. She received 3,002 marks out of 4,100 in her fourth year of school.

Meenakshi said that she wished to specialize in either gynecology or medicine. “I want to complete my one-year internship at the IGMC before determining which specialization to pursue. After that, I want to pursue post-graduation,” she said, emphasizing that self-belief and persistence were essential to her success.

Meenakshi also gave her professors credit for her accomplishments. She said that after seeing her grandfather’s cancer-related suffering, she became inspired to help other cancer sufferers. “My family fully supported me, even though there wasn’t much of a study environment at home.” She said that she was born in Himachal and that she would want to work in Kullu’s rural districts.

Meenakshi’s mother Mamta, a stay-at-home mom, and father, Gopal Wadhwa, a restaurant owner, have expressed their joy at her accomplishment. According to Gopal, Meenakshi received a lot of encouragement from her instructors and was an exceptional student from an early age.
