18 foreign parties will watch the Lok Sabha election

The BJP announced on Wednesday, halfway into the election, that 18 political parties from ten other nations had come to the country at their request to get first-hand knowledge of and insights into the party’s election campaign.

Originally, the BJP intended to invite parties from 25 nations; however, important US, UK, and German parties did not reply. However, according to a BJP press release, attendees would include Liberal Party of Australia leaders.

Consequently, the majority of those invited are locals. Twelve of the eighteen invitees are comprised of them, with two hailing from Sri Lanka, four from Mauritius, one from Bangladesh, and five from Nepal. In order to get insight into the party’s election campaign, these delegates met with Union Ministers S Jaishankar and Ashwani Vaishna on Wednesday, along with BJP President J P Nadda.

The other countries that have been invited are Russia, Uganda, Tanzania, Israel, and Vietnam. The British Conservatives and Labour, the American Democrats and Republicans, and the Christian Democrats and Social Democrats in Germany reportedly did not reply to the invitation.
