AAP outlines their campaign strategy for the UP LS elections in 2024 and promises to support the INDIA Bloc as well

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has started formulating its plan for the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections in 2024, in which it intends to work cooperatively on a seat-sharing basis with other parties in the state including the Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP), and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD). According to this strategy, the party workers would be instructed to start organizing campaigns for both AAP and the opposition’s INDIA group.

In response to rumors about how many seats the AAP would seek in a state where it has neither an MLA nor an MP, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that they will be in contact with other parties regarding seat-sharing.

He said that party members would go door-to-door in the BJP stronghold of UP to speak to residents about the “corruption and caste clashes” that have become worse under the saffron party’s leadership.

“We will evaluate the job done by AAP in Uttar Pradesh in the months after the local body elections and determine our own course of action. No matter how many seats AAP runs for, our cadre has to be motivated, and we’ll ask for support from the public not only for AAP but for the whole INDIA bloc. We will do this by discussing the corruption, unemployment, inflation, and deteriorating communal climate under the BJP since 2014, Singh stated.

According to sources with knowledge of the situation, AAP would avoid caste and sectarian politics and instead focus on the state’s development.

On the basis of the work accomplished by the AAP administrations in Delhi and Punjab, the party would be asking for support from the people of Uttar Pradesh.
