Asaduddin Owaisi challenges Rahul Gandhi to run in the elections from Hyderabad, saying, “Come to ground, fight against me”

The All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Congress are at odds in the state as both are vying for control ahead of the Telangana Assembly election, which is anticipated to take place this year. Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, was challenged by AIMIM chairman Asaduddin Owaisi to run in the forthcoming elections from Hyderabad and not Wayanad.

The AIMIM MP launched a scathing assault on the Congress while speaking to the crowd in his parliamentary district of Hyderabad, claiming that the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, was destroyed under the rule of the grand old party.

“I’m urging your leader, Rahul Gandhi, to run for office from Hyderabad rather than Wayanad. You continue making grand declarations, drop to the ground, and engage in combat with me. Many things will be said by members of Congress, but I am prepared…According to news source ANI, he said, “Under the Congress rule, the Babri Masjid and Secretariat’s mosque were destroyed.

Owaisi’s comment followed Rahul Gandhi’s assertion that his party is fighting against the troika of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and AIMIM in Telangana. He said this earlier this month at the Vijayabheri Sabha in Tukkuguda, Telangana.

“In Telangana, the Congress party is collaborating with BRS, BJP, and AIMIM rather than fighting against BRS. They may identify as distinct parties, but they are unified in their efforts, according to Rahul Gandhi.

The Wayanad MP had also said that because Prime Minister Narendra Modi views Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the head of AIMIM as his “own people,” there are no CBI-ED charges against them.

All competing political parties are doing all in their power to win the Telangana Assembly elections. While the Congress has released its “six guarantees” that the party claims would be fulfilled if they are elected to power, the governing BRS has already revealed its list of candidates.
