Atul Anjaan of the CPI calls the UP CM’s attention to law and order

In light of the deteriorating law and order situation in UP, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was urged by Communist Party of India (CPI) National Secretary Atul Kumar Anjaan to name a permanent DGP as soon as possible.

He said that the police force’s morale has been negatively impacted by the DGP police and DGP intelligence’s ad hoc appointments, which has led to a subpar management of the state’s law and order crisis. The majority of violent crimes and sexual assaults target women and girls.

He said that the state’s traffic laws are the worst, making it very challenging for women, children, and older persons to cross roadways or stroll on sidewalks. These ladies and girls are being subjected to eve teases as a result of motorcycles unlawfully encroaching on the sidewalk and the pavement. He said that the red light system is broken.

Citing statistics from the Union Transport Ministry, he said that when it comes to speeding, reckless driving, violating traffic laws, and doing bike stunts on public highways, Uttar Pradesh takes the top spot. Biker craze is worse in Lucknow, the state’s capital. Around hospitals, noisy, fast motorcycles without silencers are permitted.

The CPI leader called the chief minister’s attention to the state’s law and order crisis and urged him to give it his full attention.
