Blood donation program organized in Rohtak

Rohtak: On the fourth day of the seven-day NSS program held at the Gaur Brahman Degree College, a blood donation camp was held. The camp was officially opened by civil surgeon Dr. Anil Birla, deputy civil surgeon Dr. Anil Pal, and college principal Dr. Jaipal Sharma. According to Dr. Birla, volunteer blood donations provide the two to three units of blood that thalassemia-affected youngsters need each month. During the evening session, a signature drive was also run to raise voter awareness. Every employee and volunteer from NSS signed it. Dr. Jaipal Sharma, the principal of the college, urged electors to use their right to vote in order to make the campaign effective.

A competition to write quotes was organized.

Rohtak: Vaish College’s English Department hosted an inspirational quote-writing contest. Students read passages from a variety of poets and thinkers. Up to 46 pupils, according to the contest’s organizer, Dr. Ravikant, participated. The students discussed concepts from Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, William Shakespeare, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Sudha Murthy, Dr. Kiran Bedi, Dr. BR Ambedkar, Helen Keller, Mother Teresa, and Sachin Tendulkar, according to the department head, Geeta Gupta. First place went to Manish Rathi, followed by Ankit in second place and Preeti in third. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, the principal of the college, urged the students to work hard and be dedicated to their objectives, using motivational words as guidelines.
