Dispel false information using the ECI portal, Hisar DC advises locals

The voter should be vigilant about any false information and rumors pertaining to the voting process, according to District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya. He added that in order to combat false information during the general elections for the Lok Sabha and to uphold the integrity of the voting process, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has developed a website.

MythsReality.eci.gov.in is an online portal that the Election Commission has developed to provide clarification on matters pertaining to the election process. This webpage will dispel any questions and dispel the misconceptions surrounding the election process.

According to the DC, the Election Commission has worked to make sure that voters get accurate, vetted, and validated information throughout the whole voting process in light of the rising concern about the dissemination of false news and disinformation. A digital platform called “Myth Vs. Reality Register” would effectively refute myths, rumors, and false news that have been circulating throughout the elections by providing accurate information. This is a one-stop shop that may be found on the Election Commission’s official website.

It offers an easy-to-use layout and covers a wide range of issues, including voter services, voter lists, election administration, and misconceptions and false information about electronic voting machines and voter assistance programs. The portal offers details on disinformation that has already been uncovered about the election, possible misconceptions spreading on social media, answers to often asked questions about significant subjects, and reference materials organized into areas that are useful for all parties involved.

He promised frequent updates for the platform. He stated that everyone involved was urged to use the online site to report any false information they had come across.
