Following Congress’ change of heart, AAP confirms its attendance at the Bengaluru opposition meeting

The Aam Aadmi Party will be present in a significant opposition gathering on Monday in Bengaluru, Karnataka, to deliberate on a coordinated campaign plan to take on the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Following a meeting of its important political committee and hours after the Congress spoke out in favor of the AAP’s battle against a disputed federal order that took back control of Delhi’s bureaucracy, the AAP has confirmed its presence in Bengaluru.

The political affairs committee meeting of the AAP took place today. After the discussion, I was able to state unequivocally that the ordinance is unquestionably anti-national, according to AAP MP Raghav Chadha, according to an NDTV article.

“Everyone has spoken out against this anti-national law, including Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena, the Trinamool Congress, the RJD, the JD(U), the NCP, and the Samajwadi Party. Raghav was cited as saying, “We’ll do all we can to fight it.

He said the AAP decided to join the opposition gathering in Bengaluru because a stronger protest to the legislation was needed.

AAP had criticized the Congress at the last Opposition’s big meeting in Patna, Bihar, on June 23, as the parties attempted to unite in opposition to PM Narendra Modi’s BJP government.

Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the AAP and the chief minister of Delhi, made a concerted effort to reach out to opposition parties, and all save the Congress promised to support his party in blocking the motion in Parliament.

When it backed the AAP against the contentious ordinance, the Congress had a change of heart.

Chadha hailed the Congress’ backing as a “positive development”. “Congress declares that it is categorically opposed to the Delhi ordinance. A good thing has happened, he tweeted.
