Government Offices in Chhattisgarh Will Close at 2:30 PM Due to an Ayodhya Event

Raipur, Chhattisgarh: In light of the Pran Pratishtha celebration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said on Thursday that all government offices will be closed till 2:30 pm.

“All government offices will remain closed till 2:30 pm on January 22 given the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya,” Chief Minister Sai told ANI. The intention is for everyone to be able to see and engage with the presentation.”

In the meanwhile, on Thursday, the idol of Lord Ram was brought inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

The idol’s first picture, which was concealed by a veil, was made public on Thursday at the sanctum sanctorum placing ceremony.

Sharad Sharma, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s communications coordinator, released the images.

Inside the hallowed confines of the Sri Ram Temple, venerated Acharyas and Brahmins led religious rituals.

Members of the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra reportedly took part in the prayers as well, according to the VHP.

Renowned Karnataka sculptor Arun Yogiraj created the idol of “Ram Lalla.” The idol weights 1.5 tons and is 51 inches tall. The idol, which is made of the same stone, shows Lord Ram as a five-year-old boy standing on a lotus.

On January 22, Ayodhya will host the Pran Pratishta event. The primary ceremonies for the “Pran Pratishtha” will be carried out by a group of priests under the direction of Lakshmikant Dixit, however Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate in them.

A number of well-known figures and celebrities have also been invited to the occasion.

Ayodhya will host the Amrit Mahotsav from January 14 to January 22.
