India Records 96 New Cases in COVID-19, Reducing the Number of Active Cases to 2,017

India now has 96 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,017, according to a statement from the Union Health Ministry on Friday.

The ministry’s statistics, which was updated at 8 am, shows that 5,31,893 people have died as a result of the viral sickness.

The country’s COVID-19 total has increased to 4,49,93,282 as a result of the new instances, the ministry said.

It also stated that the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.81%.

4,44,59,372 persons had recovered from the illness, and the case fatality rate was 1.18 percent in the same period.

The website for the ministry reports that 220.66 crore anti-Covid vaccination doses have already been given across the nation.
