Karnataka’s bleeding from Congress’ Revadi politics: BJP

On Thursday, the BJP said that the Karnataka finance department had stated that it was unable to offer extra funding for the payment of salaries and fuel expenses, raising the question of whether the incumbent Congress would now foot the bill for the free bus trips.

Amit Malviya, the chairman of the BJP’s IT department, posted a copy of the alleged letter from the state finance department on Twitter and said that “Revdi politics is bleeding Karnataka already.”

He said, “The Finance Department of the Government of Karnataka informs RTCs (road transport corporations) that it cannot provide additional grant for payment of wages and fuel expenditures, including KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) and BMTC (Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation).

“Will Congress now pay for the promised free bus rides from its own pocket?” Malaviya enquired.

The Karnataka administration did not respond right away to the BJP’s assertion.
