Maharashtra: A technical issue has caused the disruption of harbour line services

A cargo train that was leaving Trombay yard for Kurla had a mechanical issue that caused disruptions to Harbour Line services on Saturday.
At roughly thirteen thirty, the train broke down due to an engine issue and left Trombay yard for Kurla yard. This caused the train to stop close to Kurla, impacting Harbour Line services both up and down.

According to Dr. Shivaraj Manspure, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway (CR), a technical fault caused the cancellation of local trains from Kurla to CSMT as well as from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Vashi and Panvel.

“Local trains from CSMT to Vashi and Panvel, as well as from Kurla to CSMT, have been stopped due to a technical glitch in a goods train since 1:00 PM,” said Shivaraj Manspure, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway.

In the past, train services in Mumbai and the surrounding regions were hampered by water logging caused by severe rainfall in Maharashtra.

Waterlogging at the Harbour Line Down Kurla station from Wadala to the Mankhurd segment caused suburban traffic to be temporarily suspended as a safety precaution. You can be confident that every part was operating. Trains on the UP Harbour Line were operating, according to the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Central Railway.
