Major Infiltration Attempt on the LoC Foiled, 4 Terrorists Killed In Joint Security Forces Operation In Kupwara, Kashmir Encounter

On Friday, security forces killed four terrorists in a combined operation by the Indian army and Jammu and Kashmir police in the Macchal area of the border Kupwara district in north Kashmir, thwarting a significant infiltration attempt.

The Indian army said that while the operation was underway, warlike supplies had been found from the dead.

“In a joint operation, Army and Police have killed four terrorists in Kala Jungle of Machhal sector in Kupwara who were trying to infiltrate to our side from POJK (Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir),” the Kashmir police said in a tweet.

According to sources, they were all well-trained and armed with a variety of weapons, including some cutting-edge equipment.

The repeal of Article 370 and the smooth execution of the Jammu and Kashmir G20 summit program have angered terrorist organizations. According to accounts, they were attempting to murder several civilians in order to disrupt the tranquility.

This is the third attempt at infiltration that has been thwarted in Kupwara district this month.

Two terrorists were killed on June 13 in the Macchal sector, while five foreign terrorists were slain on June 16 in Jumagund Kupwara.

Altogether, 11 terrorists from Pakistan have been murdered this month. In the aftermath of the impending Amarnath Yatra, which begins on July 1, the security forces saw this as a tremendous triumph. The Yatra has received threats from terrorist organizations.
