“Muslim reservation will remain,” declares Jagan Reddy, criticizing Chandrababu Naidu for his collaboration with the BJP

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: In the midst of the continuing dispute over the Muslim quota, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the 4% Muslim reservations “will remain” and that the YSRCP’s position on the issue is “final.” Regarding the TDP’s partnership with the BJP for the Lok Sabha Elections, he criticized Chandrababu Naidu and questioned why his party has partnered with the saffron party while the latter is trying to eliminate the Muslim quota.

“Chandrababu Naidu creates fresh drama in an attempt to win over minority voters, yet on the one hand, he keeps working with the BJP, which opposes the 4% Muslim quota. Have you seen Chandrababu Naidu like a chameleon? The YSR Congress Party has said unequivocally that 4% of Muslim reservations would persist, regardless of the circumstances. Why does Chandrababu Naidu maintain his association with the NDA when the NDA administration has promised to abolish the 4% reserve? is the only question I have for him. He posed the question at a Kurnool rally.

“The Battle of Kurukshetra” is how Reddy describes the Lok Sabha elections.
Reddy said, “The battle of Kurukshetra is set to take place in the next four days,” in reference to the present Lok Sabha election contest. This election will determine the future of current programs and the advancement of each family, not just MPs and MLAs. Voting for Chandrababu Naidu means that all of the assistance that this administration has delivered to households will come to an end.”

He criticized Chandrababu Naidu, saying, “Chandrababu Naidu has been boasting about being the chief minister for a three-year term for 14 years.” Is there anybody in poverty who still remembers the welfare this guy gave to the state? We have implemented welfare without targeting members of other political parties, communities, castes, or religions.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chastised RJD chairman Lalu Prasad Yadav for his statements about Muslim reservations, which caused a stir.

“Muslims should get a reservation (reservation toh milna chahiye Musalmano ko, pura’…),” Yadav said.

Subsequently, the RJD Chief made it clear that although he supported giving Muslims quota rights, it should be “based on social backwardness and not based on religion.”

“I put the ‘Mandal Commission’ into effect. Reservations are made based on socioeconomic backwardness rather than religious beliefs. Samajik adhar par hota hai, dharmik aadhar par nahi hota hai. The Constitution Review Commission was established by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, according to Lalu Yadav.

May 13 is the day for Andhra Pradesh’s Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. On June 4, there will be a vote count.

The YSRCP gained a landslide majority of 151 seats in the 2019 Assembly elections, while the TDP was limited to 23 seats. The TDP was only able to get three seats in the Lok Sabha elections, whereas the YSRCP secured 22 seats.
