Nine updates on the Bengal Minister’s banishment from Raj Bhavan and the BJP’s allegation of “TMC conspiracy” in the governor’s sexual harassment case

New Delhi: In response to claims of sexual harassment made by a junior Raj Bhavan employee, Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose said that “truth shall triumph” and that he would not be “cowed down” by “engineered narrative”. “God bless everyone who wants to defame me in order to get an advantage in the election. However, they are unable to stop me from fighting Bengali brutality and corruption, “explained the man.

The Governor said in a statement that he has prohibited the female employee’s access to Raj Bhavan due to her defamatory and unconstitutional remarks made in the media.

“For guidance on potential legal actions against the Minister, the Attorney General of India has been consulted. “The Governor, in addition, has prohibited police entry into Raj Bhavan premises under the pretense of conducting an unauthorized, illegitimate, slanderous, and politically motivated ‘investigation’ to appease political bosses ahead of the election,” the governor said.

The ten major turning points in this epic tale are as follows:
Following social media postings by top Trinamool Congress officials over the purported event, the governor made his comment. “LARGE. A lady has accused Bengal governor CV Ananda Bose of molestation. How awful and really disgusting! A lady has claimed that she was harassed when she went to see the governor at Raj Bhavan today, ahead of @narendramodi’s visit to Kolkata, where she is expected to spend the night. The complainant was brought to the police station on Hare Street in order to lodge a complaint. The Governor is said to have molested the lady. Sagarika Ghose, a TMC Rajya Sabha MP, said on X, “Shocking and disgraceful.”

Saket Gokhale, a fellow TMC MP, also made a post on the matter on his X account. Shashi Panja, the minister for women and child development in West Bengal, called it “shameful” that the governor had denigrated his position and “tortured a woman” with it.

According to PTI, a “woman employee, with the help of her alleged boyfriend, who is also an employee of the Raj Bhavan, was blocking complaints (from people) being sent to the Election Commission of India” .

“She walked outside and accused molestation after receiving a scolding for it. Because of some illness, she has a tendency to act out against her coworkers,” PTI quoted a source as saying.

Since taking office in November 2022, the West Bengal Governor and the TMC administration have had a contentious relationship marked by many run-ins over a range of subjects.

Due to “defamation and anti-constitutional media statements,” the governor has prohibited West Bengal Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya from entering the Raj Bhavan buildings in Kolkata, Darjeeling, and Barrackpore.

Additionally, the governor has given his staff instructions not to allow him to attend any events that the minister attends. The statement from Raj Bhavan said that the attorney general of India has been consulted on potential legal actions against the minister.

According to the statement, the governor has also prohibited police from entering Raj Bhavan grounds on the pretense of carrying out an unapproved, illegal, phony, and politically driven “investigation” in order to appease political bosses before elections.

According to the BJP, it has to be seen whether there is any “iota of truth in it” or if this is a “conspiracy by the TMC”. “It is common knowledge that the TMC is seeking some breathing room since it is politically trapped on the SSC fraud issue. Therefore, it must be determined if there is any truth to this or whether it is just a TMC plot, according to BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari.
