Northeast Delhi: 70-year-old pulled and robbed of Rs. 1 lakh

Tuesday saw the horrific release of CCTV video from a heist, which showed two armed, unidentified guys yanking a 70-year-old man off of his motorbike and dragging him violently while attempting to steal his bag holding one lakh rupees. On June 19, at 9 p.m., numerous persons were there while the heinous murder was being committed on a popular street in Harsh Vihar, northeastern Delhi.

 

The footage seems to show the suspects robbing the victim and then effortlessly leaving the scene. HT has seen the incident’s footage.

Police reported an armed robbery on Tuesday, and an investigation was launched to find and apprehend the culprits.

“We have filed a case, and many teams are working to find the offenders. CCTV footage is being examined for hints, according to deputy commissioner of police for the northeast Joy Tirkey.

Sansar Singh, the victim, said in his police report that he was preparing to ride his employee’s bike home to Loni, Ghaziabad, after closing his store, putting the day’s earnings in a blue bag, when the event happened.

In the 19-second video, Singh is seen riding as the pillion passenger next to at least four males on a motorbike beside a busy road and a tin shed. A pedestrian is also seen walking past. Two masked guys with hats suddenly rush towards the old man. While his companion attempts to steal the cash bag, one of them aims a revolver at the elderly guy.

The elderly guy is yanked down and dragged across the road for a few feet while he attempts to hang onto the bag, all the while fending against the attempted theft. The elderly guy is left in the middle of the road when the thief jerks away the bag and departs with his accomplice clutching the pistol. The video shows several individuals hurry to assist him as a few others stand by and observe.
