Parties resolved to unite against the Bjp but there was no decision on the PM candidate at the Patna meeting, according to Tn Cm Stalin

According to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Friday, the opposition parties’ meeting in Patna did not decide to nominate a single candidate for prime minister but instead vowed to unite all democratic forces to defeat the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

He remarked that the BJP should not be let to win again by all the parties present at the meeting. When the chief minister arrived from Patna, he remarked, “I had urged that the parties should stay solid on their mission to defeat the BJP.

Speaking to reporters about his visit, Stalin said that he made seven recommendations, including the formation of an alliance under the direction of a party with power in the government and, if that proved to be impossible, the possibility of seat sharing.

Additionally, he recommended that instead of forming a post-election coalition, a shared minimum platform be established and common candidates nominated as needed.

Stalin expressed joy at the gathering and the opposition’s cooperation in sending the BJP “packing home,” saying the conference gave rise to optimism that the BJP will lose the Lok Sabha election.

I stressed the value of unity at the national level by citing the cooperation of secular parties as the cause for the win in Tamil Nadu. If democracy, secularism, and the rights of the underprivileged are to be upheld, the BJP must be prevented from regaining power, the chief minister said.

According to him, the June 23 summit will make it possible to write history such that the opposition parties triumph in the 2024 elections.

Stalin responded to a query by saying that while he had to take a flight back to Chennai and was unable to attend the leaders’ news conference, he had seen the leaders of the opposition parties and had expressed unity with them in attaining their shared objective.

When the chief minister was asked whether the second conference in Shimla was suggested since the first one today did not produce many results, he said that the opposition parties’ unity had started to take form at Patna and that the Shimla meeting will assist to develop a plan.
