PM Modi states, “I Am Someone Who Works Towards Deadlines, Not Headlines,” as the Lok Sabha election dates are announced

Speaking at a media gathering on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he works on deadlines rather than headlines, just after the Election Commission announced the dates for the Lok Sabha elections.

“Those in the audience anticipate me to say things that will get a lot of media attention whenever I speak at a conclave like this one. I, on the other hand, strive for deadlines rather than press releases. Thus, during the India Today Conclave, PM Modi stated, “I might be making some points that the media might not find too attractive.”

His comments followed the Election Commission’s announcement of the Lok Sabha election timetable and polling dates. The general elections, which are scheduled to take place in seven stages between April 19 and June 1, will be declared on June 4, according to the poll commission.

Additionally, PM Modi emphasized that the media seldom reports on a number of central government programs that have relevance for regular people.

The prime minister took aim at the Congress, stating, “A political party, which seldom found it worthwhile to even speak about startups earlier, is forced to talk about them today.”

In reference to the work carried out by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Prime Minister Modi stated that the MUDRA Yojana, the nation’s premier initiative, has created new opportunities for youth and non-corporate, non-farm small or microenterprises to access bank loans of up to Rs 10 lakh.

The MUDRA Yojana is a program that has significantly changed local job and self-employment prospects. Our young people used to have to pledge items as collateral for bank loans. But thanks to the MUDRA Yojana, guaranteed bank loans are now available to everybody, even to individuals with nothing to pledge as collateral. The prime minister said at the conclave that “this has been a revolutionary change.”
